Meet the Iowa Private Equity Team
President, Mitchell Sankey
Mitchell J. Sankey is the President of Iowa Private Equity, LLC. He joined IPE with a passion for commercial real estate, having served both debt and equity commercial real estate investors across the country, encompassing all major asset types. Having served on a multi-billion-dollar CMBS buy-side team, for an Iowa based Insurance Company, assisting in over $1 billion of total acquisitions, and $2 billion dollars of portfolio rebalancing. In addition, Mitchell served as the Team Lead for Credit and Portfolio Management for a multi-billion-dollar private real estate platform who provided REIT, fund, and 1031 DST private placement portfolios. As team leader, Mitchell oversaw the analysis of all current and prospective tenants, built the pricing model for new acquisitions on all platforms, identified and implemented a long-term portfolio diversification strategy, and led the performance review of assets and the distribution updates to the firm's investors. Mitchell is a proud husband and father of three who enjoys family time, golfing, attending sporting events, outdoor recreation, and currently serves on the Alumni Board for Iowa State Delta Chi.
